Oprah Winfrey: The Universal Law Of Cause & Effect

We've all know The Golden Rule.  We've heard it our whole lives - "Do unto others as you would have others do unto you." In this short video from Oprah, she reframes that familiar phrase in a way that, to me anyways, changes it entirely and gives new life to an old idea.

It's not 'do unto others as you would have others do unto you."

It's "what you do unto others, is already done unto you."

Think of it this way, when you throw a ball up into the sky, that ball is coming back down with the same force with which it was thrown up.  That is happening with everything we put out there, whether we are aware of it or not.  If we throw love, love is coming back to us. If we throw judgement, judgement is coming back to us.  If we throw fear or guilt or shame, those things are coming back to us - no exceptions. The minute we put something out there, it's begun - it is already on it's way back to us because that is universal law.

So what do you want to throw out there?  Hate? Anger? Apathy? Greed? Or maybe Love. Acceptance. Support. Encouragement. Grace. Happiness. Generosity.
