Cynthia Erivo: I'm Here

I don't normally share songs on here (although, why not!?) but this video came to my attention and blew me away - not just because Cynthia Erivo is insanely talented, but because the lyrics remind me to be grateful and live intentionally.  Any time I feel like a need a boost, this is guaranteed to make me feel better.

Be grateful and live intentionally.

(Also, a little backstory - I saw Cynthia in the X Factor musical "I Can't Sing" in London, which was meant to be her big break - but after only a few months, the show was cancelled - not because of ticket sales, but because a producer abruptly pulled out. Suddenly, many actors were suddenly out of work, and many dreams were dashed.  But because of that, Cynthia was able to take the lead role in "The Color Purple" at a tiny theatre outside of the West End.  That show transferred to Broadway, became a massive hit, and Cynthia won a Tony for it.  This led to film work and last year she was nominated for an Oscar. All of this never would have happened had her 'big break' gone the way it was supposed to. Never give up on your dreams - sometimes 'setbacks' are really just laying the groundwork for your success)
